Challenge
Located alongside the Pai River and extending along the main highway, Hefei CIFI Cmall project resonates with the adjacent Pai River Park. The challenge was to integrate impactful visual experiences against this backdrop, showcasing the urban landscape while providing novel and welcoming public spaces for consumers and families across various age groups.
Solution
Our team, through detailed urban research, crafted distinctive entrances and personalized display fronts, inviting consumers into a dynamic commercial realm. The south entrance, facing the city's main pedestrian flow, features a streamlined design and a double-height main entrance, offering clear visual guidance and presence. We considered the middle entrance alongside the project's highlight—the distinctive side atrium—to blur the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. The voluminous side atrium, with its ultra-clear glass, not only reveals indoor activities but also resonates with the Pai River landscape, presenting a unique aesthetic and interactivity as the 'Eye of Pai River.' It serves not only as a distinctive interactive space but also as a key component of the community and the city's image. Outdoor landscapes, including sunken plazas, stepped spaces, greenery, and water feature walls, provide a rich outdoor experience. The shopping center's rooftop garden is spaciously designed for various events, while the residential tower's rooftop boasts an infinity pool with city views.
Result
On its opening day, Hefei CIFI Cmall drew an impressive turnout of over 200,000 people, with about 98% tenant occupancy and 96% of its operations up and running. Since its inauguration, it has offered a colorful array of consumer experiences, driving regional growth and urban prosperity, and marking a comprehensive upgrade in Hefei's southwestern commercial structure. It has also introduced more diverse shopping experiences and new ways of living to the residents.
