Adjacent to the historic Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, a beacon of the city's historical memories and cultural heritage, the CR Land Nanjing Qiaobei MiXC One project was initially a halted Lifespace Shopping Center before CR Land's intervention. Challenges included navigating the restrictions of the existing building structure, differentiating from surrounding large-scale projects, and enhancing the project's accessibility and attractiveness.

Under the guiding vision of "Bridging Worlds: The MiXC One Tapestry", the design team employed nuanced transformation strategies to deepen connections with the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, infusing the project with broader functionality and vibrancy. The introduction of a sunken plaza and a carefully designed traffic scheme optimized flow and accessibility. Notably, the translucent design of the B1 ceiling introduces natural light into the underground space, creating a welcoming atmosphere that attracts visitors. The design pivots around atriums and an open plan on the fifth floor, enhancing spatial coherence and visual openness. The layout on the fifth floor, emphasizing panoramic views and lofty spaces, positions the majestic Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge as a visual centerpiece, offering visitors a unique experience. Facade enhancements transform the once dim exterior into a lively area, with the 3rd to 4th floors adorned with warm-toned, folded aluminum panels and the night-time illumination of colored glass light boxes mirroring the bridge. The rooftop garden, emphasizing visual dialogue with the bridge and designed for flexibility, becomes an ideal venue for events. Its openness and multifunctionality add new vibrancy to urban life, fostering closer community ties through enhanced interaction with the bridge landscape.

Through innovative design and strategic transformation, CR Land Nanjing Qiaobei MiXC One has successfully fused commercial dynamism with urban cultural heritage, elevating Jiangbei's commercial allure in Nanjing and establishing a new urban landmark. Beyond boosting the area's commercial value, the project enriches the community for residents and visitors alike, offering a multitude of experiential and activity spaces. It showcases the valorization of cultural uniqueness and historical significance in urban renewal, creating a "city living room" with a strong sense of place and becoming a new focal point for urban social life.
