The 2024 Academic Annual Convention of the Architectural Society of China, sponsored by the Architectural Society of China and the Shaoxing Municipal Government, was held in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province from 10th to 13th October 2024. Mr. Rudan Ye, the founding principal of AICO, was invited to attend and serve as a guest of the academic salon of the themed forum : New Sustainable Urbanization Paths of Three-dimensional Conurbation. He discussed how commercial real estate design can innovate to meet commercial market changes and residents’ demand under the transformation and characteristic of three-dimensional conurbation. Moreover, the sustainability of the project is further ensured by guaranteeing energy conservation, environmental protection and the efficient utilisation of resources.

At the same time, “CADE Architectural Design Expo 2024 (Shanghai)” was occurred between the 16th and 19th of October, 2024. This event was co-sponsored by Architectural Society of China in cooperation with Messe München and MMU BAU Fenestration Co., Ltd. This event constitutes a significant component of the 70th anniversary celebrations of the Architectural Society of China. Mr. Rudan Ye was invited to be the guest speaker of “Pioneer Practice of Zero Carbon Buildings” and delivered a speech with the theme of “Application of BIPV technology in net zero energy buildings (NZEBs)”. In his speech, he introduced the latest design trend of low carbon development and assessment of building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) system towards net zero energy building. AICO's exploration and consideration in the field of ultra-low energy consumption and zero-energy buildings design was explained through the presentation of three latest practice cases, including the second phase of Life Hub@Anting in Shanghai, Jiangho Office Building in Beijing, and the international headquarters of Trina Solar Co., Ltd in Shanghai.
